Wenn ich es in wenigen Zeilen zusammenfasse, ist Joli Vélo ein Shop, auf der Sie wunderschöne alte Rennräder für Männer und Frauen finden, die direkt aus Frankreich stammen und oft von ihren ersten Besitzern abgeholt wurden.
Auf Joli Vélo finden Sie vor allem Rennräder von französischen Herstellern wie Peugeot, Motobecane / MBK, Gitane und vielen kleineren, weniger bekannten, aber ebenso interessanten Marken.
Wer steht hinter Joli Velo?
Ich bin Chris, ein Franzose, der eine Ladenschaft für vintage Rennräder hat.
Am Anfang, noch vor dem Projekt Joli Vélo, stand eine Leidenschaft für alles, was mit Mobilität in Oldtimerform zu tun hat, seien es Oldtimer, Motorräder oder Fahrräder.
Ich habe mich nie für moderne Fahrräder interessiert, die sicherlich sehr effizient und leistungsstark sein müssen, deren Ästhetik mir aber überhaupt nicht gefällt. Meine Vorliebe galt immer den Rennrädern, die bis in die frühen 90er Jahre hergestellt wurden.
Ich habe Joli Vélo gegründet, um Ihnen diese fabelhaften Fahrräder in bestmöglichem Zustand, fahrbereit und zu erschwinglichen Preisen anbieten zu können.
Wie arbeite ich?
Ausnahmslos alle Fahrräder stammen aus Frankreich und wurden von mir während meiner Aufenthalte in meinem Geburtsland gekauft.
Diese Fahrräder werden von Privatleuten, Sammlern oder Trödlern gekauft.
Was ich mir immer zuerst ansehe, ist der allgemeine Zustand des Rahmens. Ob es nicht zu viel Rost oder Farbabplatzungen gibt.
Das Fahrrad muss schön oder “joli” sein, in seinem ursprünglichen Zustand.
In der Werkstatt angekommen, werden Reifen, Schläuche, Kabel und Ummantelung fast immer ausgetauscht.
Es findet eine gründliche Inspektion statt, bei der die Schaltung, die Bremsen, die Lenkung und die Zentrierung der Räder überprüft werden.
Das Fahrrad wird gründlich gereinigt, die Felgen werden poliert, die beweglichen Teile erhalten neues Fett und eine Testfahrt von einigen Kilometern prüft, dass alles perfekt funktioniert.
Wenn alles erledigt ist, findet ihr das Fahrrad auf Joli Velo wieder, bereit, adoptiert zu werden und ein neues Leben in den Händen eines Enthusiasten beginnen zu können.
